Good question. I don't know for certain but I'd say Sonic.
My reason is Superman is "faster than a speeding bullet" as it says in its show intro (just how much faster I don't know and this is why I don't know). Sonic easily creates a Sonic Boom on foot "thus the name Sonic I guess". That's just in normal form. If Sonic turned to super Sonic than the race is over before it even began. This is untestable though cause both are cartoons. Anyway, I'd place bets on Sonic.

Sonic of course.I don't know if any of you knew this, but in one episode of one of the Sonic series, he made time stop completely and saved his friends before time started up again. I bet Sonic could run around the world faster than Superman could fly. Especially with a few power rings and chaos emeralds.

Sonic the Hedgehog. He can run at the speed of sound. Superman just moves at the speed of a dumb bullet.

Superman is faster. Sonic must run and is therefor impeded by friction. Where Superman can fly and must only overcome air resistance. Superman also has better eyesight and can plot his travel to a destination more efficiently.

Superman by far. In spinning the world backwards he, in effect, twisted time. And because he was twisting time backwards in space (where time acts differently) he was actually moving "forward" while the rest of the world moved "backwards."
If it were a regular foot race that allowed spinning and those fast shoes... then Sonic.
