I think a hurricane is worse than a tornado, because a tornado can knock a house over, but a hurricane can also add water damage to the destroyed property.

Hurricane's a lot worse. Tornado's have relatively low destructive area, only narrow bands. Hurricane smash and throw everything around. When was the last time a Tornado sunk a city?

A Tornado is fatal in little areas. A hurricane is destructive in huge areas.... i don't know which one 2 pick. They're both pretty bad. I wouldn't want 2 come across a tornado though

Well, some hurricanes can form tornadoes when the winds begin to spiral upwards creating a funnel so I think a hurricane is the ultimate natural disaster.

I would have to say Tornados since their is no way of predicting when they are coming and how bad they are going to be. Hurricanes on the other hand give you a few days to prepare for them.

After living in central IN, for several years (tornado alley), and living in central FL, for the past ten yrs. I would have to vote for tornadoes. Because with the hurricanes you have warning, time to prepare, were as with tornadoes you don't have that prep time. They are just there. To me after living through both tornadoes scare me the most.
