Do you mean that your baby wants to feed every 2-4 hours during the day and sleeps all night? Or sleeps all night *except* waking to feed every 2-4 hours?
Either one is usually fine, *if* it is the baby's natural schedule. But sleeping long and deep is a risk factor for SIDS. So it is *not* a good idea to encourage long nighttime sleep.

I have a two month old and not even close to sleeping through the night. Hope I'm as lucky as you by 3 months. My baby is 12 lbs and mostly feeds every 4 hours. The longest we've gone at night is 5 1/2. As long as your baby is gaining weight and eating well--- sounds like no worries!

As a father of five the oldest being 21 the youngest being 7. I have learned that babies tend to be different in every way. Some sleep all night some sleep all day some don't let you sleep at all. Your baby has his own personalty and he likes to sleep. Remember your baby needs his sleep. Also, if he wants feed every four hours that's fine too, he's a growing boy. all in all it depends on activity. If you keep him busy and awake all day he just might need to sleep all night. If you really need to know. then you should ask your baby's doctor. He or she will not laugh at you for asking.

Very normal for a three month old. For the first several months a baby needs between 16 - 18 hours of sleep a day.

As long as the baby is gaining weight, it's perfectly fine. Nothing to worry about. Sounds like the baby is at a healthy weight, but just make sure that it keeps going up.

Don't worry, it won't last long. Babies are quite different. They change a lot. Please keep the baby appointments. You should have had one at 2 months and another should be scheduled at 4 months. The long sleeping times are resemblence of growth. That changes. Breastmilk is best.
