Why would anyone want to be a hacker? What's so fun about doing something not only stupid, but illegal, by hacking into someone else's computer...And I don't just mean someone's home computer, I've heard of businesses, the military, and even hospital computer systems being hacked into..Why do it?

Some just want to see if they can do it. Some are con artists and want to steal personal info to either sell or steal your identity themselves. Some do it for their 5 seconds of fame. Maybe some are just bored.

They do it because not many people get caught
but its because they are bored
It the same as virus's, all they are are just vb scripts designed to mess people up.
Have a look what happened with a site called piratebay.org.(look on bbc.com)
Its an illegal site, so the dutch police took it down/ It was back up and running in 2 hours in sweden.
Next day the dutch police website was taken off line by hackers

because many people would rather steal from others who work all day to make ends meet while these people just take it away !!!!
