I live with my boyfriend and his family, i have no insurance, and a dead end job. The Army will give me money, health care and a place of my own, even training. But then I have to leave my family. I also have to lose some of my weight to join. But I could go to school to keep my family happy, but then I have to worry about getting sick, or what I am going to come home to. I want a place of my own. My family keeps tempting me with things I love to eat so I cant make weight. What should I do.

You need to follow your dreams. If you really want to join the military then you should do it - and you will have to have the strength to turn down the junk food and start losing the weight. It's really all up to you. Joining the military is a tough decision and it can be dangerous. You just really have to figure out what you want to do - and no one can decide for you.
If you stay home, you can go to school, stay close with your family and friends and work. You don't have to worry about making weight or getting wounded/dying on duty. Good luck with whatever you choose.

School...hands down. "Higher learning is the only future." (Burt McCallister).....................Most college institutions administer their own health departments (extremely cheap as well). No disrespect to the armed forces but there are some drawbacks. One is the long-term contract you must endure. Another would be the strict regimen. You don't think that will put strain on your relationship? From what I gather of you from your question, it seems that you want a quick solution handed to you. I'm not saying you wouldn't earn it, I'm saying you want a boost that the army WILL give you. Don't let your "dead-end" job discourage you either. A few years and a college degree later, you'll be laughing at this question. Whatever it is you decide.....
