I haven't lost any weight but now fit very well in a junior size 5 after wearing size 7 for many, many years. I am wondering if the fashion industry making 5s and other sizes bigger to make women feel better about their bodies and in turn buy more clothes.

Dianne, i'm sure glad you asked that question, because i have
been having a heck of a time just finding the juniors wear in
the dept. store. Then when i do the jeans and shorts look way
to big even if it says its a size 3/4 or 5. Not only that but what
gives with these Xsizes. I don't mean the plus sizes its just
the ones x1 x2 and so on. I wish the manufactures would make
up there minds. Wish i could find a shop like they use to, they
had clothes for just sizes 2,3,and 4 in juniors. So what do we
do now?

Yes. Although you have to be careful when comparing sizes. A size 5 from Macy's may not be the same as a size 5 from Lord and Taylor's.

I think that they should make them smaller so that we don't encourage obesity. Not saying that you're fat or anything but people who wear size 17 should really try to lose some weight or move to the women's section. I usually wear size 1, 3, or 5 so it's all different. Just try them on before you get them.

I don't see any change. I am regularly a size 5 but, at Pac sun I am a 3? Maybe I just have not noticed any difference. I guess it just depends on the brand.

Usually, the more expensive the clothes, the larger they run for each size.

Sounds real to me. Nothing I own is the same size. You can't go by that anymore. Try it on before you buy it or you'll be bringing it back for sure...........

You're probably right.
Or if you're comparing that to two different stores..they may have different companies that make their clothes, thus different sizes somewhat.
But, yeah, you're probably right.
