I would pick to be exactly what I am, bisexual :-) we get the best of both worlds.

Personally, if I someone were to pin me down and say I had to choose, I'd say straight; 'course, I've always said that if I were a woman, I would probably be a lesbian, because I just love women, period. On the other hand, I don't understand why anyone should have to "choose" one side or the other; why can't we just be who we're most comfortable with at the time, whether it be our own or the other gender. I think "straight" and "gay" are just labels, like "black" and "white," which are imposed on us by society. What matters is what's in your own heart; no one has any right to tell you what you are without your permission.

Any time you begin a question with "IF you could..." you are heading into illogical areas. We can't choose, so the question doesn't make sense. And, since we are either/or, how could anyone give an answer based on experience. Just because you function with the opposite sex does not mean you are straight, and just because you function with the same sex does not mean you are gay...so no one can actuall answer this question from experience.

I think the majority of us did PICK what we wanted when we found a mate. Maybe the question is if you settled for person A, knowing what you know now, would your choice be different?

To answer that part of the question, I'd change it, and pick a guy. Alot less bull dinky to deal with. LOL

I can't pick so it's a moot point. Being gay I'd have to say I am happy this way. I think - in general - we are more fun, take better care of ourselves, are less judgemental, value education, and because of discrimination are forced to be more independent and self aware.

I am bi, but really favoring guys, and I'm a guy..

anyways, I would pick to be straight because ok.. no one knows i'm bi, but my family would probably really dislike me if they knew. Also, I would loose half of my friends. I would be happy to actually be able to like guys, and live a life liking guys, but at the same time I would be so miserable worrying about what other people would think, and loosing friends and family and stuff.

Oh darlin' I'd definitely pick being a lesbian all over again. I feel like I've been blessed in this lifetime with the passion & love for another woman, and I would not trade places with anyone!

I'm straight but if I could become gay I would. I understand women more then I understand men!

Well, if I could chose today I wouldn't change who I am. But if I had the choice when I was growing up then I'd have chosen to be straight.

But, oh well. Can't do anything about that now. That's just how life is.

I am straight by birth, not by choice. Just like a person that is gay is gay by birth, not by choice.
