You have two options, network, or plug and play.

For networking, it takes more time to setup though may be more efficient in the long run. You will need to connect the two computers together with your network cable and on both computers, go to Control Panel and set up a home network. Make sure to have your printer connected to the host computer.

For plug and play, it is much more easy and may only take one a two seconds longer in the long run. Just install the printer driver on both your computers and plug the USB connection to the computer you want to print from. The downside to this method is that both your computers and printer have to be located close to each other.

If you dont want to "wire" it, then you need a router and a few wireless equipments. I dont think its a waste of money to make your machines wireless.

You need a wireless router and you need to make your printer and computers wireless by getting a WIFI card or adapter for them.

Or you can just do it the hard way and setup both computers to use the printer, but just keep unplugging and plugging the computers to the printer by moving the printer to the computers and use the one cable you got and take turns with it.

Things You need first
1. A network router (if u wan2 share it with more than 2 pcs)
2. Two LAN Cards
3. 1 printer of any interface

First install the two lan cards in two pcs and network them (its very easy)> now install the printer in one pc and check Printer and File sharing from the network connection in control panel.

If u still cant do it mail me ( give me details of ur hardware of ur 2 pcs)

If you have set up your network and everything works fine, all you have to do is look up your printer and assign sharing to it in Settings_Printers and Faxes.
Also check you have Printer and File sharing services in your Ethernet Adaptor properties called Local Area Network found in Settings_Network Connections.
