Listennnnnnn...... to da kid, You need to work on your game. First practice dribbling with a tennis ball and don't look down. The practice laying up with both hands, get good with both hands. Learn how to hook shot it is a great shot to master nearly unstoppable. You want to shot alot of shots. I mean game shots not shots you would take in horse. Run alot to but not long distance do suicide drills, run where you have to change acceleration. What i do is run back and forth on a court. I run to one hoop and lay up with my weaker hand and run and lay up on the other goal with my weaker hand. Work on your hops get a jump rope it will help with your acceleration. I would say lift weights too it Will help in a game fighting for rebounds you can push(as long as you don't extend your arms to far keep your hands close to your body). Having real good stamina is good too. That is where long distance running is good. Well dats all i got for you a yeah and in everything you do make sure you work hard. As long as you but your all into everything you should see an improvement.

As with any sport, practice practice practice. And it helps to watch professional games and stuff to pick up techniques.

What i've learned (I started playing volleyball about 3 years ago) was that it helps to go to camps for the sport and hussle a lot. After my first year of playing I became captain of the freshman/junior varsity teams. But dedication, practice, and studying the sport are my suggestions (along with working on footwork and conditioning your body). Hope this helps.

Practicing by yourself does very little. You need to compete against other people to really improve more than just your jump shot.

Shoot baskets every day, try to improve your vertical leap and your quickness, and when you watch basketball try to learn more about how to play the game.

focus on one thing at a time, the mistake most people make is they try to work on everything at once. first if you want a better shot, work on that, when you see improvement, work on your handles, then jumping, etc
