Color contacts are no better or worse for your eyes than the regular ones. You just need to follow the directions. My question to you is do you need them for vision or do you just want them to change the color of your eyes? If the later is true than I can see your dads point. If however it is a vision thing have him talk to the eye doctor with his concerns.

No they're not. The worst thing that could happen is that your eyes will get red because you might not be used to wearing the contacts. But if you're okay with wearing contacts and it doesnt bother you at all then i don't think it is bad for your eyes.

To my best knowledge, colour contacts are not bad for your eyes as long as they you require that specific prescription, and that it does not conflict with your eyes due to irregularities in the shape of your eyes. For the most part, coloured contact lenses only have coloured iris', making it so that you do not see the tinted colour. So, to recap, as long as you need the lenses for medical reasons, or they are licensed for wear by anyone, and they do not have tinted pupils, they should be fine for you.

Not bad at all. If it irritates your eyes, you could just be a bit sensitive. I've been wearing contacts forever and it's fine.

They are not your dad just doesn't want you to get them so he is telling you that.
I could see why he probably doesn't want his baby girls pretty blue (not sure what your eye color is) eyes turning green.
But they are okay or they wouldn't sell them.

No, i've been wearing mine for 4 years. Every two weeks i change them out for a clean pair. If they were bad, why would your doctor let you use them?
