I am 16 yrs old and I've had mine pierced for 2 years. When i would ask people if it hurt, they always said yes, it hurts bad or it hurt so bad i couldn't sit up for days... but i don't think it hurt me, at all! i could barely even feel it. When they first do it, they take a sterile clipper like thing and place it on the top part of ur belly button, they make sure it is in the right spot before they pierce it. They take a marker and mark the entry and the exit of the ring. They place the needle at the bottom or top of the navel and push it through... i think it is very painless and yes, with the right and appropriate rings, they do look very cute! but note, there are some risks, you MUST take care of it, and you MUST go to a place that is clean, sterile, and knows what they are doing!

It doesn't hurt a bit. They just mark the spot with a pen, use a tool to clamp the skin, push a sterilised hollow needle thru, then feed a barbell thru the needle. The whole process takes about 20 seconds. My advice is to take a can of Coke with you for sugar 'cos some people freak themselves out and may feel dizzy afterward. And another thing, keep it REALLY clean! But the "piercer" should give you an instructions leaflet on how to take care of your new piercing as well as all the DO's & DON'T's. It's really not painful & it's very attractive. Go for it!

they lay you down and put clamps on your belly botton, then clean it real good and stick a needle threw while your holding your breath, then follow the needle threw with the ring. It's not that bad, I had it done the first time when I was 13, so I still had thick baby skin, but don't sweat it, my tongue was alot worse. Good luck Sweety, and check the place out before you get it done there.

They numb it and they stick a needle through it. You don't want you belly button pierced. I promise you. It may look cool, but it gets infected. I would now. My sister got hers done. She is 26 and regrets it. I pierced mine by myself, nothing happened, but it left a horrible scare because I took it out.

they clamp the skin with a tool to help numb it. and peirce it with a hollow needle to remove a chunk of skin and put a barbell in for about 3 weeks. the look really sexy after though.

They will not numb the skin. What they will do is take a clamp and attatch it to the skin where you want it pierced. They will then shove the needle through your flesh.
