Fisrt of all, Congratulations on the birth of your baby and the fact that you have lost your baby weight so quickly. I takes 9months for your body to prepare you for giving birth, and most doctors suggest you should allow at least that (more in most cases) to get your body back. Your body changes shape when you are pregnant, your waist dissappears and your hips widen and although you may have lost the weight it will take a while for your shape to return, but it will. Enjoy your baby whilst he/she is young and as long as you eat healthily and tone up the bits that were affected your body will eventually return :-)

The main risk is that her body has been depleted of essential nutrients not only from the initial pregnancy but also from the breastfeeding, so if she is not eating a healthy diet and taking vitamins (particularly with folic acid), the child she is now carrying could potentially suffer certain birth defects. Another problem is that physically, she may have a harder time with the pregnancy since her body hasn't had a chance to recuperate. Barring these problems, the only other thing I know of for sure is that she is going to have her hands full with two little ones so close together.

It takes a while for your body to go back to normal. Its been stretched and used to holding a baby. It took me about a good 4 months before I could fit into my clothes. All it is really is your uterus and womb are stretched form the babe and needs a while to tighten up. You can find some really good exercises on the Internet to help you get back to "normal". Just don't go crazy with the workouts, cause you can hurt yourself by starting exercising to hard to quickly. Don't worry things will go back to how your were. It just takes some time. And nobody is going to notice cause they are all looking at your adorable baby!! Congrats!! Just think, now you have an excuse to go shopping for a new wardrobe!! lol

when you are pregnant and in your third trimester you body creates a natural pelvic displaysia (or widening, spreading of the hips) to widen the birth canal to allow for room for the baby to fit out.
although you won't gain weight from this, you will be wider in the lower parts of your body making your old clothes no longer fit you.

also your weight may be distributed differently now.
for example you may no longer have any baby fat on you face, but now have a little extra skin around your belly.

I know that my weight shifted. My pants ended up baggy but my tops did not fit. Now two years later I'm still not shaped the same way as I was before my pregnancy. I guess I'm staying this way.

Because your weight is now distributed differently, and likely you've lost muscle in places, but gained fat in others in nearly equal amounts. Work on doing cardio, but you need to do some weight training as well to put back on some muscle.
