I'm guessing that 2 yrs college means something like a community college. From my experience, the answer is.... it depends.

I highly urge high school grads to seriosly consider community college if they don't know what they want to do with their lives. Soul searching in a 4 yr university is not advisable because like myself, I got "lost" in the process. It took me 7 yrs to graduate from UC Berkeley and I did horrendiously bad during the first 3 yrs of it. Part of it was that I wasn't mature or disciplined enough. What I thought was important ie making friends, finding a girlfriend, and partying, really was not that important. When I finally grew up alittle and chose a career path, it was fairly easy. In hind site, I wish that I spent a few years in a community college and then transfer into a 4 yr university. The whole process that I went though was painful and I wished that I did it differently.

Now for those mature, driven 18 year old out there who know exactly what they want to do, going directly to a 4 yr college probably is the right thing for you.

As long as your plans are to go to a 4 year college eventually and you are careful to complete courses that will transfer, I feel like the 2 year college is always better. You have more freedom and security to explore and get started in this big ol' world living with mom and dad still (like most Junior college students do) It is cheap and thus you can get a part time job and start saving to go away when you transfer. You get the oportunity to explore your interests and goals and be sure of what you want to study, and you get gen ed out of the way so your university experience is focused more on your major. I loved my community college and feel it was the best decision I ever made.

Depends on your grades and what you want to be when you grow up. If you can afford 4 years at college away from home, I think that is best. If your grades are not great, attending a two year college first will help you transfer to a better college. There is no one right answer for everyone, determine what schools will accept you with your grades, and what course of study you want to follow. Then take it from there.

i think a 4 year college because then you get more education and you`re more likely to get accpeted somewhere if you go to college for 4 years.some people think 2 but 4 years is probably the best.

4 year. 4 year schools have dorms... and frats... and FRAT PARTIES! 2 year schools have loosers like me that have to sneak into the frat parties of 4 year schools, and can't get real jobs.
