If your comp. is taking 2 long to start up, do this : go to run in the start menu and type " (msconfig)"- just msconfig with no spaces. A window - go to startup, and untick the un-necessary programs which gets executed when you start-up. WARNING : If you untick your Anti Virus or something you don't know then it won't be loaded. Then shut it, and when it asks press exit without restart. Off you go, all the un-necessary programs won't get loaded when you boot the comp.

Do you want to remove them completely?
If so, click Start, Control Panel...select Add / Remove programs and find the ones you want to uninstall.

If you want to keep them, but don't want them to start when you boot-up, goto Start, Run and type msconfig and hit OK button.

Click Startup tab (far-right) and select what you don't want to have when you boot!
