Not a Problem! The majority of questions are stupid anyways, as well as the replies!

Depends. If they're just selling the answers, its not a big deal because most of it is not valid for market research purposes. It doesn't matter how many people prefer coke to pepsi if you have no idea who those people are (24 people who happened to be bored at the same time the question was up? )
But if Yahoo sold information ABOUT the people behind the answers, then I would feel my rights were violated. For instance, if I started getting lots of spam because I answered a travel question about a place I would like to visit....

I would feel superior to Yahoo and laugh at the stupidity of the research companies, as I realize that 99.8% of the questions and answers on Yahoo! Answers is useless drivel.

Don't think Yahoo would find much value in some of the questions, and research companies would not pay for something that they could get for free by joining and asking themselves. If it was true I would die of laughter

I'D JUST ROLL MY EYES AND THINK OH WELL. nothing nothing nothing on the internet is private, that's what I always go by....
On the other hand, my bulk mail has REALLY picked up since I started doing this, adn I just got my first PHISHING attempt the other day. Almost went for it, but reported them to paypal and to the FTC, so that should keep someone busy on Father's day.

That would be funny. Atleast they are honest answers.. well maybe not, but they're different than they would be sitting in a focus group getting paid

It wouldn't surprise me.
It also wouldn't surpirse me that companies use this forum for market reaserch. Where else can you get hundreds of people to answer for FREE?

They'd be better off doing research on HOMEBOY's questions instead of our answers.
