Mr Benn for me too (Red Knight was the best one), Chorlton and the Wheelies was never shown where I lived when I was a child, and I didn't think much of Jamie & the magic torch, perhaps because it came later.

mr benn was my favorite, mainly because of the name. until my dad married a welsh woman and chorlton then stood out as the one that was the most amusing. as we had a new name for our step mum, but you cant take away the fantasy of having a magic torch, but then when did he ever get to have a good nights sleep. mr benn has to come out on top as a good old fashioned englishman with a good sense of adventure.

Mr Benn, god - why did that shopkeeper always turn up just as Mr Benn was festooned in his underwear?!!??? Jamie & The Magic Torch does it for me, having as it did a theme tune of quite rocking rockness.

Ah it has to be Mister Benn although Chorlton has the best theme tune and Jamies wasn't too bad either.
