I don't want simple yes or no answers. I want explanations to back up why you think what you think. Go ahead and try to convince me that you're right.

Personally,I think it's complete bull.
The world is always going through warmer and cooler phases. Right now it's getting warmer because it's actually cooler than it was a long time ago.
The reason the Vikings were able to get to Greenland so easily is that the world was warmer then and there was less ice.
The world might be warming up a little bit but it's not Man's fault and nothing bad will come of it.

I think that the factual evidence in the core samples drilled from around the world say that the earth does have warm and cool cycles. I also believe that it is possible that whatever is inhabiting the earth during these cycles will invariably affect them in some way, be it natural or non-natural emissions and/or by-products.
I think that if it is "bad" or not is all relative to how you look at it. Will the weather be worse or more extreme? Possibly. Is the earth trying to correct any imbalances? Possibly. Is this good or bad? I guess it is how it will affect each individual.

Global warming is an all too true fact. As you rightly said, the earth does go through various temperature extremes and geological records show these average 10 -15 thousand years in the changing. We also know the last great ice age began to end approximately 10k years ago.
The issue of global warming today is the *accelerated* time it is taking for global change. It is happening much quicker now than ever before. This is due to the ever increasing levels of CO2 in the atmosphere that deplete the ozone layer ( Earths Ray-bans, if you think of it like that). The Suns energy is reaching us at increased levels and this causes an overall heating up of the earths surface and the melting of polar ice caps.
At the moment it is estimated earth is no more than 3 deg Centi away from total catastrophe. That kind of change will not happen in the forseeable future, and most probably not in any of our lifetimes, but it will happen. We must reduce our carbon output in order to slow down the change, That is a fact.

The reason no one cares about Global Warming is the packaging of it.

Global = all encompassing

Warming = A good feeling

If we just leave this inaccurate and very ignorant name out of the description and said. Do you care that the ozone layer that protects us from the harmful radiation of the sun is decaying rapidly and that pollutants are trapping heat causing the water level to rise each year by inches we can clearly see?

Yes Weather patterns change, but drastic changes are caused but catastrophic events. The Ice age was brought about by the sun being blocked out by ashes from a giant meteor striking the earth violently. I cause the extinction of much of the life on this planet.

It is ironic that we will cause our own and don't care enough to simply stop it before it is too late.

Talk to anyone who actually deals with environmental issues today and they will tell you that you are wrong. Man kind has slowly been ruining this planet starting from the late 1800s. Sure the world has gone thru its phases, but that was under its own accord. Now throw billions of waste producing human into the mix and there is a problem. Do any serious research and you'll find out that it is a serious problem.

Yes, it is true that Earth is going and will keep going through periods of cooling and warming times.

However, Global Warming is just another factor that is slightly altering this change.

Yes, I do believe in Global Warming.
No, I do not think Global Warming is the only thing heating up the planet.

Good day to you. (Manners, you know!)

I agree with you that it is part of a normal cycle. A volcano can create enough ash during one of its spews to equal to 1000 years of cars. So the equation does not balance. BUT I do believe we should keep the earth clean. Look up the northern states lakes before and after clean up over the last 40 years. Before dead fish, car tires, not able to go swimming-NASTY. Now the fish have returned.

Global warming does exist! The real question is, Is it
cyclic or is it man made? Whatever the answer is, if
nothing is done about it, your health, the weather, and
life, will be at risk later into this century.

You are right about our planet going through natural phases of global warming. I do NOT believe that mankind is causing the current warming trend, but I DO believe that we are aggravating it.
