Paul Newmen was the old master, Redford was the new kid in pictures. I liked them both, seemed to work well together. But Paul gets my vote.

As I like westerns then I have to say Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, it was a great film. I would not take anything away from The Sting but it has to come second in my book.

Ooo...That's hard to say. yhey play off each other so well. I am going to go with Redford though. He seems more likable.
I considered Paul Newman's age, but found that irrelavant.

Robert Redford was better.
Paul Newmen is 81, yes, but he's a jerk in real life, I know first hand. He treats peole like second class. Not a great guy in person.
