Finding a job that pays $15+/hr may take some time to achieve. It depends on your experience or your dedication in the position you are looking for. I discovered quickly enought that I could go from an entry level cashier position at $6/hr to a $32,000/yr manager position in a convenience store in less than a year. To gain this position I had to show, dependability (work whenever and wherever needed), dedication (work hard all the time), enthusiasm (have a positive attitude, and willingness to try new things), and leadership (encourage those around you to do their best). If you desire to show these attributes, then I would suspect that you can do the same. You must keep in mind that you will most likely never make more than $8/hr if you only look in small, local companies. If you desire to advance and have other benefits, you must look to big companies and perhaps put yourself in a position a bit out of your comfort zone.

Those are hard jobs to come across, at least here in Arizona since it is a right to work state.
What I would suggest is to look on places such as jobing.com or monster.com and you can create a profile as to what it is that you are looking for and you will be able to apply for these jobs.
I had great results and found a great job through monster.com.
