You have what you need. Mint likes shade but a partly sunny space may do just fine.
I suggest you divide the seed into two or three batches-- wet the growing medium (keep a little bit dry)-- sprinkle the seeds over the growing medium-- sprinkle the dry growing medium over the seeds. The packet may tell you if the seeds need partial light to germinate-- or no light-- that tells you how much dry medium to sprinkle over the seeds.
Use some sort of spray bottle- adjust to spray not stream--( buy one-- don't try to recycle for seeds) and spray once or twice a day-- don't want the medium dripping wet-- but mint does like moisture. The packet should tell you how many days until the seed should sprout--
IF perchance the seeds don't sprout-- try to figure out why-- and use another batch of your seeds to try again. I'm assuming that the seed is "fresh"-- there is a date on the packet.
When your baby mint is about 3 inches tall-- if they are crowded-- move some of your babies to another pot-- after they're about 6 inches tall-- pinch out the top growing bud-- by removing that terminal bud-- you will force the mint to branch out-- after it's the size you want to use-- the clipping to use will serve the same purpose.
Fresh mint makes wonderful tea-- you can use green tea and add mint leaves, crushed-- the most tender leaves are the newest (that top growth again).
I wish you well with your garden!
good luck

Wet the soil. Plant the seeds.Keep them moist. When they have 3 or 4 sets of leaves pinch back the terminal buds to make them bush out or they will get leggy. Keep them pinched back.
