I am plannin on makin my own pair of really torn jeans for an oufit. However, in past attempts, when icut they they just look cut and stupid and not frayed... How do i get the frayed look? Any suggestions before I start and screw it up!!??????

After you have cut the fabric you should then use a clean metal bristled brush (much like they use to clean a grill) and pull it both across the cut, as well as against the cut. (It takes some time and work) Then wash the jeans a couple of times.

You could buy some worn jeans from a thrift store or garage sale. Since those jeans are older they would fray easier. The way I got my jeans to look like that was buying cheap ones and wearing them all the time till they all frayed with holes and everything!

Cut a hole in the jean and then rub sandpaper over the hole! It really works! Also if you want them to look worn, rub sandpaper in place that would naturally get worn out, like back pockets or the knees.

NO!!! I HATE them!!!!! i love the Hip Hop look, Dickies shorts with a T-blouse & Jordan shoes & headbands & wristbands, often times a Jordan hat...fortunate my husband likes to gown fly & rock the Hip Hop variety!

Oh so your gonna look like those people at the mall that my friend and I joke about because they think the holes in the jeans look looks cool? Great I can't wait.
