There is an excellent female rally driver at the moment but I cannot remember her name.

I know that in 1968 there was a women's team that took part in the london to sydney rally, as well as lots of other women. (I know this because my dad took part and towed them for part of Afghanistan - I think it was afghanistan. I could be wrong about the country!)

And there are not many more male dominated sports than motor racing!!! Hope it helps with your research

I thought it interesting that women fought long and hard for the right to play in the mens major golf tournments, but when men wanted the right to play in womens major golf events, the women said no. Revealing I say.
