Bad news is either more newsworthy (it's what we want most to hear) or there really is a liberal media bias (the media and the Democrats are on the same side). If we were to hear good news, that would be bad for the Democrat Party especially if the Democrats didn't cause the good thing to occur.

Because stupid liberals who are against the war (and control the media) want to destroy this country's morale and destroy support of the Republican administration. Seriously, I've met a man with such good stories to tell about the war, and he couldn't wait to go back. And anyway, we should be there anyway because America has been in the crosshairs of too many people.

because you are relying on the liberally biased network news sources. You need to check out conservatively based news through groups like Focus on the Family, The New Republic, CBN.com., TBN.com, etc.

News tends to focus on sensational items, and bad news is sensational.
That being said, there's not that much good news to report on in Iraq.
