I personally started crocheting 2 1/2 mths ago. I love it very relaxing.

I like to crochet when I watch T.V. at night. I still enjoy the show, but I feel like I'm doing something productive and not just taking up space! Two years ago I crochet(ed) enough scarves to give one to every fireman at my local firehouse. It was really cool. I bought that red, white and blue yarn from WalMart. I can usually do a full sized afghan in about a month and a scarf takes about two and a half days. I love to try out new patterns. Oh, I've been doing it for about 10 years, since I was 20.

I also crochet. I have only made 7X9 in squares using a double stitch most typically. I then donate them to Michaels craft store or another local organization which then stitches them together into afghans. These afghans then get donated to a local battered womens shelter or the red cross. I find this is more fun than doing a real project because it doesn't matter if I make 4 in one evening or 1 in 10 months, it all goes to a good cause and then I get to make something without having to have it in the house when I am finished!

I originally started to crochet because I wanted a hobby that can go with me to school. I sometimes spend hours at school waiting for classes, and it's so mobile!

I have been crocheting for many years. I have made some really cute hats for my daughter and her friends. I like making things and crochet is easy and fun!

I like to crochet because it's easier than knitting and I can do it while I'm watching tv or waiting somewhere...I don't have to concentrate too much...needless to say I pretty much straight stitch and make blankets and/or scarves :).

I just learned this and so far have just made scarfs (I live in NY so they are nice and warm) I am hoping that in Sept. to start a blanket...it is just relaxing and quiet to do once everyone else goes to bed
