I've noticed Prince on a couple of these lists. I have to admit, the guy is damn good with a guitar, perhaps one of the best alive today, but I can't give him top 5 status until he does some virtuoso type of stuff.

Just rock? Then that's a pretty good list. I would add Eddie Van Halen and maybe Joe Satriani. If beyond rock then I think Stanley Jordan (jazz), BB King (blues), Wes Montgomery (early jazz), and Muddy Waters (early blues). I don't know much about country or classical to include those.
