I'm looking for a good TV tuner for my Dad. He wants to take old movies on VHS and a camcorder and convert them to DVD. A good softwere package for editing would be nice if it could come with it.

VideoWave 8 is a great program for what you are looking for.

A television tuner would not try this. What a television tuner does is show you how to observe television on your workstation, and checklist courses purely like a DVR. which you'll be waiting to end an identical DVR result and ditch the easily DVR.

If you are price conscious get K-World's DVD Maker ($40). If you are willing to spend more money then get ATI's All-In-Wonder. It happens to be on sale this weekend at newegg.com. Since I don't know whether he has a standard PCI or a PCI-e I've included both.
