I suggest 9600 PRO (Ati) if you can afford it, its a good value for money card if you want to save some money. However the next step up would be a GeForce Nvidia 6600gt.

Its fast, you can use two monitors and you can pipe TV to the computer from cable or satellite to record like a TIVo and play it bask as well
