Kind of a silly question I guess, but seriously, my mom says when she was a kid, that happened to people. But I never hear about that happening. Has quicksand disappeared?

Actually, thanks to television and the movies, it's pretty common knowledge how to get out, even if you do fall in. Just relax and swim out. No biggie.

Yes, I was wondering that too. I saw an old movie with quicksand and it reminded me how often in was a concern in the movies. Now I don't hear about it.

I don't know if I ever heard about anyone getting stuck in quicksand, except on TV, even back then.

No witnesses!No seriously that is a good question.Quicksand was once a device used in movies a lot.Now you don't even hear it mentioned.Could mankind have eradicated quicksand?

Hmm, I seem to recall a scene where Sid the Sloth gets stuck in a pit of quick sand or something similar just last night in "Ice Age-The Meltdown." However, I think I would agree with you that it seems rarer these days.

no ive heard of this in india my friend was just there just mostly there are logs over where it is
