If republicans support the useless Iraq war, why don't they go fight??

Seeing as we are so short on troops right now, why don't the people who support the war go fight it.

I like this question and I wish there was a way to make it happen! Going further, I'm wondering 'why' Pres. Bush's daughters haven't been encouraged to enlist in one of the branches of the United States military. Since the United States Army is now calling on civilian parents to encourage their children to do what's 'honorable' and enlist, then I think our 'Commander-in-Chief' needs to lead by example; Barbara and Jenna should be escorted to the nearest Army recruiting office and 'encouraged' to sign-up for military service...in Iraq...today!

Imagine.......

A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter
scale hits Mexico.

Two million Mexicans have died and over a million are
injured.

The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't
know where to start with asking for help to rebuild.

The rest of the world is in shock.

Canada is sending troopers to help the Mexican army control
the riots.

Saudi Arabia is sending oil.

Other Latin American countries are sending supplies.

The European community (except France) is sending food and
money.

The United States, not be outdone, Bush is sending two million
replacement Mexicans.

Wow, a liberal that can spell Republican, I am so impressed!!! What makes you think that Republicans aren't already there? Do you think that the troops are all liberals? Who fed you that line of garbage? My husband is a little old for this war but served in Vietnam (Republican), my father passed away about ten years ago, he served in WWII and received a Purple Heart for wounds he received on Iow Jima (Republican). My cousins, brother-in-laws, uncles, all Republicans all served in the Military and in different wars and conflicts. What gives you the right to make the assumption you did? Grow Up.

Your question implies you are a liberal. That should be a very good, positive thing, because by definition a liberal is someone with an open mind.

I'm sure you will agree from how Bush is received by the troops, a lot of them are Republican.

I hope you will read the following article, which appeared a few years ago in Germany's magazine, Spiegel. It reflects my views exactly. Reagan saved us from the nightmare of global Communism. No one agreed with his approach, but it worked and the Soviet Union crumbled.

Bush and Cheney were both draft dodgers in the Vietnam war. Don't expect the Rich man to go out and risk his own life to defend his pile of gold when he can fool young men into doing it for him under the rubric "patriotism"

Most repugs have never been to war, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld. None of them have never been to war. They won't send their kids either. During Vietnam most rich and famous either got deferments to the draft or went in the guard. That is the way repukes generally are.

Well, plenty of poor or middle class republicans believe in the lies and will actually send their children to Iraq. However, the chances that you'll see a wealthy republican or his children go and face combat is close to zero.
