1. You must have a router in order to create a network. Here are the following steps:

2. Go to control panel> Network setup wizard > follow the network setup wizard step by step. Select use existing shared network > Make up a name for computer A > Make up a name for the workgroup or use the existing name (IMPORTANT: BOTH COMPUTERS MUST HAVE THE SAME WORKGROUP NAME) > complete the final steps.

3. Go to computer B and do the same above steps.

4. In order to share files, you must assign what folders to be shared in both computers. For example, right click on My Documents and select properties. Click on the sharing tab and check the "share this folder on the network". and OK to closed the box.

5. Click start> double clicks on my network places> Click on "view workgroup computers". Here you will see the computer A or Computer B and the shared folders. Now you can transfer files between computer A and computer B.

If it is in a network then both pc's should be able to access the files. Then just save them to the harddrive that you want. Right click on "start" go to "Explore" and there you can access all the files.

Hope that helps.
