U can't count those men cuz they were from back then! Back then they didn't give woman a chance. Woman couldn't go to school and get a proper education! How can anyone know if there was a woman smarter then einstein but couldn't do anything cuz she couldn't go to school?

Most of those people you allude to came from a time in which the education of women was very rare, and in which even educated women found it difficult to succeed in the face of (usually implicit) discrimination. And these men were "smart" in very different ways: FDR, for instance, was a C student in school (if I recall correctly).

I'm not inclined to believe that men on average are smarter than women. Thinking, after all, only involves that head located *above* the shoulders. ;o)

The differences between the genders is probably subtle, and are probably more associated with strengths in certain areas of intelligence, rather than one being simply smarter than the other.

Think about how long ago all of these men lived, aside from Bill Gates. Up until the 70's oppression kept women from being "allowed" to show how smart they really were. Women have only recently been allowed to have a voice in the world. Give us another 10 years or so. You'll be re-thinking your answer.

And what about Marie Curie? Now, that was one smart broad.

Behind every great man there is an even GREATER WO-MAN. Think about it, the 1st woman to discover Uranium was a Woman, however some ******* decided to turn it into a weapon of mass destruction and sell the ideas for it!
Also scientifically speaking, Women could wipe out all the men and repopulate the earth with frozen sperm. Biologically speaking when we are first formed in the womb, we are all women, however men develop genetic defects (j.k), they develop the Y Chromosome and thier ovaries drop and form testes.
Statistically due to testostirone and poor socializations skills (They have to be a Man's Man/ Real men Don't Cry) Men often result to substance abuse like Alcohol and result to physical assults/battery, child molestation, bullying, violence with guns and so forth.

You have not counted very very many other causes that prevent lots of women to e famous in something. And I also can tell the same list with famous women scientists! I don't want to offend you but it seems to me that asking such questions you show everybody your not high intelligence. I work with really clever men ( I am a Math prof) and none of them has ever told anything like that because they are surrounded by women who do the same things to the Science as they.

I think that there are alot women that are smarter than men Madame Curie, Susan B Anthony, Amilia Earhart, Sally Ride, Eleanore Roosevelt just to name a few. Understand that when you talk about these famous people that you talk about a percentage that is less than one percent of the human race. Intelligence has less to do with it than mere common sense alone.

Neather are smarter. At one time it was not socially acceptable for woman to write or study. they were housewives and nothing more, but this is because society told them that this was right. The women who did do great things did it under a fake identity. This made guys look smarter.

Look at history, you'll find tuns of smart and notable

From my point, deviding most genius between gender, age and culture has no real meaning. Each person is capable of any talent.

Females tend towards average, males are spread more thinly across the spectrum. This goes for criminality, intelligence and athleticism but it is not politically correct currently to state the obvious so you are on a hiding to nothing w. this theory.
