I beleive that it depends on the situation. In the case of rape it should be ok. If you are just sleeping around and ot using sny sort of protection then you should pay the price. You knew what you were doing and what the outcome would be. I am neith for nor against them but it still remains the choice of the person carrying the child. Remember that you might should include the father of the baby.

Abortion is a horrendous way to get rid of someone you don't want. It's very sad, because you let it be and then you don't want it and you kill it. I have a short story on abortion. It so happens that my sister in law worked in a hospital as a nurse, where abortions were performed and when they got the fetus out at five months it started crying very loud and the Doctor had to drown it. After this no one that had worked performing abortions there ever did again. Sad, isn't it!

I believe there are a couple of questions that go straight to the core of this issue.
1) When is it ok to take the life of another human being,
particularly when that human being is completely innocent?
2) When does a human being become a human being?
If we say that taking an innocent human life is never acceptable, then we need to answer question #2 and do everything in our power to stop abortion from the point that we believe life begins.
(whether that be conception, three weeks, six weeks, etc.)
If we say that taking an innocent human life is acceptable at ANY time, then question #2 doesn't matter. All we need to do is decide when it's ok to take an innocent life.
As for me... I believe all innocent life should be protected. I also believe that life begins at conception.

It's a woman's choice. Birth control can fail and she should not be forced by others to carry a pregnancy. Girls are raped and they should not be forced to carry a pregnancy. Let women make their own decisions based on their own principles and religious beliefs.
Do you really want cops patrolling your uterus? What happens to women in countries that deny abortion is the real crime. Moms who have more children than they can manage and get an abortion because they can't handle any more, go to prison - leaving their children with no one to care for them. Women die from illegal abortion. Studies show that outlawing abortion does not stop abortions, it just forces women to get illegal, unsafe abortions.

Only To save the life of the mother, or if serious birth defect and the mom is incapable or no adoptive family. (child should not be born only to be institutionalized). Life is important and there are many adoptive parents waiting for a child. GOD provided doctors with the knowlege of how to perform an abortion to save a life, it is only is only women's arogance that applies this other ways.

i think it should be up to the woman to choose yet me personally am totally against it. how could u kill a life inside u. that is a miracle and gift from god. it's so many people out there who can not have children yet others just waste a precious gift bestowed upon them. and it's so many people who r so irresponsible and instead of being careful and using protection so they don't get pregnant uses abortions as a form of birth control, what a pity.

I am pro-choice... in fact, I'm SOOO pro-choice, I think even the baby should have a choice in the matter.
Think it through-
Of all the women/girls who have gotten an abortion, how many are completely glad they did it (no regrets) 3 years down the road? 5 years down the road? If they have regrets, what kind?
Of all the women/girls who have chosen to carry full term and place the baby for adoption, how many are completely glad they did it (no regrets) 3 years down the road? 5 years down the road? If they have regrets, what kind?
Of all the women/girls who have chosen to carry full term and raise the baby, how many are completely glad they did it (no regrets) 3 years down the road? 5 years down the road? If they have regrets, what kind?
And, if you had to choose, which set of regrets would you choose?

I oppose it, but believe it should be legal until the 20-23rd week. This allows a women to abort is she desires, whatever the reason, after this time the fetus could live on its own and it is way past the time for her to decide.

I am against it.
I would be in favor of it if the mother's life were in danger; but I have never heard of an instance.
Rape accounts for a small percentage of pregnancies; in this case put it up for adoption.
