The US Lucked out with the opposition own goal .....I am not a fan of Italian futball but I think they normaly played better ...

Shameful on both sides. The Americans played hard but they played much too hard. It was brutal football with little artistry and the Americans deserved even more yellows that they got. The Italians were just plain stupid, because they let the Americans drag them into a street brawl instead of a football game. The Italians would have won, had they just played the game instead of reacting to the American aggression.

I am a fan of good football and that includes Italian football. Italian football is pure music. HOWEVER today I don't know what happened to the Italians. There was no reason for all that aggression. Americans don't normally play dirty. Inexplicable. That American player who bled from the face... what a brave guy... it took it really well. Americans are still in the infancy of football but they were very very brave. NINE against 10. Probably also the fairest result that we could have hoped for... 1-1 God... I look forward to reading other people's words on this match !!!

The ref was awful. Only 1 out of the 3 red cards was really a red card. The other two should have just been fouls. I think the U.S. outplayed Italy and should have won. The US did get lucky on that goal but they would have scored if they had the two players that shouldnt have gotten red cards.

i imagine Italy will administration the game. Italy is merely too reliable for England with or with out rooney because Italy is a magnificent crew from protection to attack. although the most appropriate crew doesnt continuously win as illustrated by ability of Greece in Euro 2004 so England will definately have their moments, it may bypass both way. 50/50.

The Italians played a good game, but the ref gave out unnecessary yellow cards resulting in 3 RED CARDS! If it wasn't for the ref, the teams wouldn't have been so stressed and the game would've been better played.

you mean the way the USA played against them.it was the first time i watch any of the games being played .i watch because i wanted to know what all the dam hoopla was about .and had to support my fellow country man .but as i watch it was boring to long with nothing much happening .i know that every one though that Italy should have ran away with the USA.but it didn't happen so i was happy for that i though that it was a well played game on the USA side .go USA.

well italy did not play, they should not have won that game, they got the benefit of having the stupidest ref ever, why did fifa hire this guy, he was repremanded for something like this in the 2002 fifa cup.

Italy are experienced players but the US did a nice show to tie with such heroes. the whol game was stupid today anyways

italy probably underestimated the US going in because everyone knows italy is amazing at soccer whereas US is not as talented. they probably expected to dominate US, which is why they let their guard down. i feel sorry for zaccardo- the guy who scored for the US! i hope the US can win against ghana!!
