Myths are actually true stories that are passed on by word of mouth, script. There is fact behind myths. Take for instance King Arthur. He was a Roman soldier, who help conquer the Goths from Merlin's people.

Think of it this way. Myths usually come from a true story...even King Aurther. They things half remembered, faded into time as happens almost every tale outside the Bible. They are built around something that once was, and become a story, that fades to legend, and last to myth. Myths are a remenant of things left from a time long, in a world not so far away. But they're is always some truth...but more fiction then anything else.

where there is smoke there is fire , myths do not materialize out of thin air
the human imagination is based on its input ,some thing you´ve read or seen or heard about .
and who ever wrote it must also have got it from somewhere
so if you go far enough back ,truths of the myth must have existed
check how many there are that include serpents or reptiles or dragons then read David Ickes ,biggest secret
also check how many Pagan myths have demi gods that are partly animal, especially rams and that bull guy in Crete.
then watch a flock of sheep walk past you or talk to an Australian farmer, and the whole thing becomes believable.
i will stop here before i get deleted,
king Arthur by the way is a symbolic story about astral bodies movements, all the knights sat in front of their sign of the zodiac at the round table .and it´s as old as the Illuminati

There is probably some truth in every myth. As for actual historical fact, there is probably a good bit in most myths, but not all.
For example, I regard Noah's Flood as a myth (I don't mean this in a bad way). But even if there was not a worldwide flood, there were most certainly floods that destroyed what seemed like the whole world of people who were living in the area. If a flood destroyed your home, your business, and killed your loved ones, you would feel like your whole world was destroyed. So this much may be said to be factual.

Myths usually developed to explain some sort of natural phenomenon, or to teach some kind of moral lesson.
In oral tradition, stories are constantly re-organized and changed. In what way and to what extent depends not only on the person telling the story but the person they are telling the story to. This is because some details of an event may be more important or more interesting to one group of people than another.

There are some myths that people and scientists have proven to have a bit of fact in them, but i believe most myths are false like in B.C., they came up w/ myths to comprehend why things around them were happening. I think most people dreamed up these myths like Ogres and etc. and told everyone to get famous or to make people think that they were more intelligent or on a higer level of thinking than everyone around them.

The real meaning of the word is "a way communities tell their stories." Stories change and evolve over time. Some higly influence other cultures, and some just fade away. There probably was a great king in England, but much legend has been added to the original story.

The myth/rumour wouldn't surfaced if there isnt a cause to it.So i guess, there may be some hidden truth in some myth except that we have been taught that myth are a bunch of stories categorized as crappy and only superstitious people believed in them that we tend to overlook things and not pay attention to it.

They're all set in the real world, just the characters and events are contrived to make a point. They may even be based on real people. But when people pass a story down by word of mouth, inevitably someone will embellish it. Every play the game Telephone or hear two people give two completely different accounts of the same event?
