It's probably just a random nightmare if you havent had any strange dreams like this before and if this dream isnt a recurring one.

Sister, I suggest if you're close to your brother, you talk to him about this.
It may have nothing to do with him, but it IS a reflection of your fears. Is there a situation in your own life that you're finding threatening?
Or, it may be that you've noticed tension in your brother's family, and your dream conjured up this worst-case-scenario. The good news is that dreams seldom come true. But your subconscious IS trying to tell you something. Is it appropriate for you to help ease some of the stress the family has? Would you be able to babysit the children once in a while so that your husband and his wife could take a night out just for themselves?
Try to approach this from a positive "I can do this . . . " attitude, and not from fear. Fear will only paralyze you, and it's almost always unfounded. May God bless you !

Is it at all possible that this could be a real fear of yours? Are you possibly concerned that he may do this? Im sure he isnt a bad person im just double checking. If you know that this could not be something he would do, I would suggest possibly seeking some sort of counselling, because these thoughts are obviously not appropriate or warrented. Sometimes also, dreams can be things that happened in previous lives ( if you believe in those). I would just speak to a professional about it or do some more online reasearch.

My thoughts are that you might be concerned about your brother. It doesn't have to be that involves violence in the way it did in the dream. Is he having any problems you know of?
My husband just had an interesting thought too. Maybe your "brother" in the dream represents some other closeness and violence (such as in Iraq) in your country or one you know of.

Although I am not a dream interpeter, I do check online now and then for my dreams as well. what I have found is based on things that stand out in your dream. Some times (many times) dreams are not what you see but what is going on inside of us, and thus, what you see going on in your brother and his family, may actually be feeling you have towards him or something going on inside of you, feelings you have. Check out the site below and enter words related to the dream and it will give you idea's of what the dream may mean. Good luck and try not to let it worry you. it's just your consious mind speaking to you.
To see someone commit suicide in you dream, highlights your concerns for that person. Also consider what characteristics and qualities in that person you may be trying to "kill" and annihilate in your own self. Perhaps you hope that you are not like that person in some way and are making attempts to get rid of those traits within your own self.
To see your brother in your dream, may symbolize some aspect of your relationship with him. It can also serve to remind you that someone in your waking life has certain characteristics/behavior similar to your brother's.
To see children in your dream, signifies your own childlike qualities or a retreat back to a childlike state. It is an extension of your inner child during a time of innocence, purity, simplicity, and a carefree attitude. You may be longing for the past and the chance to satisfy repressed desires and unfulfilled hopes. Take some time off and cater to the inner child within.
The loss of a child, signifies fallen hopes or a project.
To save a child, signifies your attempts to save a part of yourself from being destroyed.
To dream of your nephew in a pleasing disposition, foretells that you will soon find yourself in a pleasant and congenial surrounding.
To dream of your nephew in an unpleasant disposition, signifies illness or loss of business.
To see your niece in your dream, signifies unexpected trials and useless worries of the future.
To dream you are abusing someone, foretells that you will suffer repercussions from friends toward whom you have acted less than honorable.
To dream you are being verbally or physically abused, forewarns that you will fall into the hands of an enemy.

Possibly in your subconscious you see your bro as an overbearing personality, or maybe verbally abusive? His wife escapes it but the children, who are always vulnerable, are victimized? I don't know, that would bother me in the extreme and I would defiantly pray for an answer.

It can mean many things. You may fear that your brother is being abusive to his family. That he is secretley or slowly being mean. Or it can just be something you watched, and got nihtmares. Maybe you should talk to your brother, figure something out.
