If you are not a member, the skills that will give you most money are:
Fishing - fish lobbs, cook and sell them for 200-250 ea.
Woodcutting - cut yews and sell them in world 1 for 300 ea
Mining - mine coal and sell it for 150 ea.
Of those 3 skills, woodcutting is the fastest one to lvl up.

One way I found to make money is mining ore and selling the iron and steel bars. I did not worry about actually making anything with the metal bars just sell them and kee mining. When you get your mining level up pretty high, at least 50 or so, start mining the mithril and runestone ores, they are worth a lot of money. I had a buddy that was playing as a cook and made a little money. He would catch fish and lobsters, bake cakes and pies, and sell them to travelers in the towns.

Sale swordfish and lobby near the wilderness, but you have to be a high level cook and fisherman.

Lobby worth at least 1000- not sure how much swordfish is but it's alot

You could do things like shear sheep and sell the wool. Also, when you kill someone, you get all their belongings; they usually have money.
