Could be several things. Find out where it's coming from. When rolling? When running? When turning? Try to make the squeak stop, or change pitch. Then match whatever activity you are doing when this happens. Then, people can help you narrow it down. Doesn't hurt to tell your vehicle make, year, and model.

Hello,
If it is really bad using the car after it has been not running for a while and gets louder when you press down on the gas quickly then it is your fan belt. Most of the cars after the 80s have what is called a belt tensioner. It sound like it just needs to be adjusted.
Around $45.00 at a turn up shop.

...sometimes..., if it squeeks as you accelerate sounds like an alternator or air conditioning belt that needs to be tightenend.
If it is continuous it could be your Serpentine Idler pully (if you have one main belt rather then 2 or 3) if you have a newer car that's probably what it is.
If you pour a little water on the belt as the car is idling and the squeeking goes away probably a belt problem.

Probably not a timing belt. If a timing belt slips the vehicle will not run, they are a cogged belt to run on a timing gear. If it is a belt it is the one running the air conditioner , water pump, or power steering. Check all the belts to see if the are tight or glazed and tighten or replace as required.

Alternater belt is squeaking and that means your alternater is going to go out soon, I am curious does your car have starting problems too? but ummmm yeah I am 90 percent sure your alternater belt is what is causing the squealing noise....especially if it happens when you first press the gass or when you first start the car

Timing belt, I think not; but that sound is usually made by other external drive belts on your car, have them checked.
