seems to me that bin laden and his nutcases must rub their hands with glee when they see our president under fire over iraq etc . the president told us after 9/11 that it would not be easy and tough decisions had to be made , i think we should rally round the president

Your question is very astute!

In Bill Sammon's book "Strategery", Al-Zarkawi is quoted from an intercepted letter. It states that Al-Qaeda's only chance to win is to dupe the stupid and gullible American public into thinking the war is not winnable.

What shocks me is that you could read the quote to certain far left Liberals, and they just don't seem to understand that we cannot lose militarily. We can only lose public support for the war.

That is Al-Qaeda's goal. They want us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Wrong thought process.
We played into the hands of Bin Laden by invading Iraq in the first place. Just as he predicted we would do years before 9/11.

Are you kidding? If you were bin Laden, what would you want: a USA that kept an incompetent president that sent most of his forces to Iraq where bin Laden is NOT LOCATED, or a new guy who's got basic smarts? I promise you, he rubs his hands together when Bush's poll numbers are UP, not down.

I agree that we should be more supportive of our leaders without accepting every thing said. We are to question and participate or we may open our eyes one day and find ourselves without our basic freedoms. However the over liberal press has turned it into something much worse than it is. Sometimes I wonder why they can't think ahead and visualize the other possibilities.

I believe as you do that Bin Laden probably is happy that people have turned on Bush. It allows him more freedom to lay low until a new president takes office - then he can continue his policy of terrorism and murder. Bush stopped it from continuing in our country by taking our military over there............Those who disagreed with that move might not be happy to see a president who does nothing to his attackers - except wait for more attacks.

No absolutely not! This is a democracy with free speech. If a majority of the people want us out but the leaders say, well we call the shots, too bad, then the system isn't a democracy. I was taught the American system is the best because our leaders obey the will of the people. MOST of America wants us out of Iraq. Does this sound like Bush is doing his job of representing us, or what HE wants. A year from now, when we are all paying tons of money for the war and our soldiers are having post traumatic stress disorder, we will know the true magnitude of his ineptitude.

37% approval rating seems to sink your argument down the toilet. I have yet to see one productive policy that this government has followed and republicans false belief in a "liberal" mainstream media is truly surreal. All major American media sources are owned by the same corporations that filled these pirate's coffers with money and it's bastard child, influence.
Now, as far as bin laden and his rag tag group of haters rubbing their hands with glee over a free people expressing displeasure with a man who has never succeeded at anything in his life is just too laughable even to comment on.
You people are truly delusional. Might I suggest you get off the FOX for a few weeks.

It does not matter to the left guided by the Democrats in this country. It does not matter that their rhetoric actually matches Bin Laden \ al Queda's. All that matters to them is they win the coming elections so they can make sure the Dept of Justice can't search their offices, they can make 12 million people here legal even after they broke our laws, and soak the rich with some more taxes so they can increase spending to their favorite groups.

no we are just showing him that the people of America are all involved in this war by making sure our government makes decisions based on our interest. if we didn't question the presidents decisions then he would become some sort of a dictator, or the government would no longer be afraid of the people. which more like Bin ladens ideas.

I think opposite. We are playing into the hands of Bin Laden by voting for Bush.
