A few possibilities:
1. They are unable to take care of themselves and need someone else to help them.
2. They (usually women) have been told that if they are not married by a certain age they never will be.
3. They (usually women) are worried that their "biological clock" is running out and feel that they better hurry up and get married.
4. They (usually women) are single parents and want a partner to help them raise their kids.
5. They (usually women) are young and are trying to escape a bad family situation.
6. They (usually men) confuse sex with love.
7. They (usually men) believe that it is the honorable thing to do when there is a baby on the way.

I don't think they should--I would not marry someone I didn't really love and didn't think it would really last. I don't understand how someone can be tricked twice. And i know it easy to blame the person you don't care about. what is your real question? I have seen alot of men that get in over the heads with relationships. There is two people in a relationship and it is usually both people can share some blame in it not working out. Don't always see the other woman as the enemy ---she may not be.

I am really kind of confused with the question. You don't love the person(your fiance) or it is your fiance doesn't love the first wife but remarried her anyway.? If you are saying the man you are engaged to marry remarried his wife because she is the mother of their children, I think you already know the answer. If he was your fiance, he would have married you regardless. He have the children already. Don't allow yourself to be deceived. Loneliness is not a prerequisite for marriage. If he did not still love her beloved, he would not have remarried her. Let this demeaning relationship to you go. You are far better than how you are allowing yourself to be manipulated. Really think for a minute!!! Aren't you? Love yourself first. The right man will be drawn to that love and give you more. Wait for the RIGHT one.
If I have misunderstood this question, please forgive me and continue to have a great weekend.

He did not love himself at that time. By the way this sounds, I am guessing he is pretty young. Most of us are unsure of ourselves at an early age. Especially if he had just joined the military he was under some drastic changes in life, changes that are unexpected. He may have been looking for some kind of change that seemed normal in society to balance out the stress of his military obligation.

You answered your own question. People sometimes get married because they want companionship. BTW, She didn't trick him. There is only one way to make a baby and he probably knows that if he is old enough to be in the military.

People do some very strange things because of loneliness, or overactive hormones. Why even ask silly things like this, he has two great children as a result of spending a little time with old “whats-her-name“

Some people make some bad choices when they are lonely. Desperation can be the cause.

well some people are just very impatient and will settle for anything, but it seems like things worked out because you have him now, which means he really loves you!
