(I believe that American expatriates did almost precisely this in the 1920s to exploit exchange rates between the dollar and European currencies...although Europe was not exactly "3rd World" either...)

Problems are so rife in 3rd World countries that it probably would not meet your standards for "living like a king." That and your riches would probably be endangered by militia groups, greedy and corrupt governments, and people who are just trying to survive and to make sure their family has food on the table.

So, yes, you might be "living like a king" in their eyes (but not your own), and that would probably only attract negative energies to you.

If the government is really corrupt, then it's not you but the local bureaucrats who will be living like kings. You'll have to pay them bribes all the time to keep them from making trouble for you. And that state of affairs doesn't sound to me like the life of a king.

Perhaps you can live well in a relatively well-governed third-world country. But you have to take care how you choose your country. If you want to have a peaceful life, then you've got to stay away from really corrupt countries like from the plague.

A lot of those 3rd world countries not only have corrupt governments, but also revolutions and serious crime issues. Although you may live in luxury, you may also find yourself in constant danger from kidnapping or even death. You can one day have everything and the next, have nothing.

You also have to consider that conditions in these countries are not like home. The services you are use to are not always available and medical care may be seriously limited.
