In life what's more important being smart or just being lucky? What's the reason for your pick? Also some claim to be smart, but they just got lucky, if they got lucky why do they think they are so smart?

Smart. I enjoy having intelligent conversations with people. I also enjoy the feeling of working my way to the top and knowing it was because of my intelligence, not luck. Luck usually breeds envy while smarts can breed respect.

I think inteligence is the most important between these two. If you have the know how to get things done and make a profit then you're way ahead of the curve. Sure, you can be lucky and win the lottery... I've known people who have, but they were just as borke as before if not more so in a year or so because they were not smart enough to manage their money well enough... so much for luck.

Smart would be nice but I would have to pick lucky..... Smart doesnt get you money these days but luck would.

Not that I am deminishing smart in any way because that is still important, it just seems now days they let anybody do anything.... I mean hell..... the day a Top Model starts trying to sing.... lol.

lucky, being smart (but not genus smart), you would just see all the problems in the world but not be smart enough to solve them. I'd rather be oblivious and lucky.

Real smartness brings luck.
But still, if one is lucky, then there is every chance of attaining success without any hard mental work. So, I pick luckiness. Sometimes it has more power than intelligence.

I guess I'd rather be smart. Smart enough to befriend someone who is lucky.

Have to go with lucky. If you win the lottery, who cares how smart you are.
