music is the language of the soul.....
it expresses what cannot be expressed in words....
its the only language that is truly "complete" in its expression!
music is a very spiritual expression.....which doesnt just touch your mind....but your heart and the soul.....your subconscious - the spirit.
music is extremely logical - coz it can only be created through the seven notes....even though music transcends logic....
it instills the harmony - the balance in your soul .....bcoz it has that balance and harmony in itself......therefore it is so soothing...
and sometimes it creates so much of turbulence in your emotions that it moves you to tears....lifts your spirits high.....
it happens bcoz music truly expresses the deepest feelings , the most subtle feelings of humans, aspirations, dreams......of life itself.....

Music plays on my emotions greatly. If I am in a good mood then the music I listed will enhance that mood and the same is true on the inverse. Music can also alter my mood depending on the song. I am apparently very in touch with my emotions to allow music to have this kind of effect on me.

The ear is extremely sensitive. When the music enters your ear, the brain recrods it. If you've heard the song before, you might had had an attached experience to it, so you react from your memories of hearing that song before. If the memories are powerful so experience an emotional reaction. Also the song might stir a memory. It could be a song about a broken heart, and you could related to the song, thus you relive your broken heart experience. Music has a lot to do with our prior experiences and sometimes with empathize with the words and call it our own.

depending on the mood you are in. the type of music can enhance the feelings.....how that happens is probably parasympathetic.
I remember crying from a song I really loved when I was 4 years old....my mom came in and asked me what was the matter and I simply said, "i really like that song mom". It was either the theme song from the old TV show "Route 66" or "77 Sunset Strip".
I'm normal and well adjusted but sometimes just hearing a wonderful rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" will bring a tear to my eye.....kind of like "Amazing Grace" at a funeral.
ZZ Top, Ted Nugent and some other Rock songs makes me wildly happy though....even James Taylor...how about "Fire and Rain, now that's a tear jerker.....oh boy. now I'm gonna have to dig out my old albums.....Thanks for the memories;)

Even when I'm satisfied with my life, a song can make me feel blue. Some songs remind me of the best moments of my life which are gone and not about to come back. It really killes me. And some melodies make me dance, so that my mood is lifting!
I hardly believe that there is such a person who is not influenced by music emotionally.

If I listen to songs me and my husband used to listen to it makes me cry because I miss him so much. If I listen to upbeat music I to feel upbeat and good inside. Music is much like an emotional roller coaster. But I love music.

Music sets the tone of your environment. Songs from your youth, or upbeat songs will make you feel energetic and cheerful.
Songs you sang in church as a youth may make you feel safe and innocent. Music definitely influences mood& behavior.

When i song connects with me, its like a journey I travel with the song. When all the elements of the song pull on my soul, its like meditation.
Some songs make me really happy and pepped up and energetic, like MSI songs and then the Faceless cd makes me introspected and if I'm in the wrong mood, it brings me down.

Well, The Rolling Stones "Happy" always makes me happy.
Rap gives me a headache and makes me sick
Classical makes me studious
Other than that music helps me unwind
