What fate and luck do is create the circumstances within which we live. Some people might have it easier, because fate and luck have "smiled" upon them. Others might face greater challenges.

But my circumstances do not determine the quality of my life. Well, if "quality of life" simply means the number of challenges my circumstances present--but that is a stupid definition. What determines one's quality of life is the way that person responds to whatever challenges they face.

Fate or luck might be able to affect how the playing field is set up--but it is up to us to play the game.

Misery is self-determined. It's not a trait you're born with. Everyone has something unique and good about them that they can exploit and utilize. It's a matter of discovering it and maximizing it. Don't fall into the trap of emphasizing what's important in life based on what Hollywood and beauty magazines tell you. And as far as luck, the harder you work the luckier you get. But to directly answer your question, looks and brains are primarily a function of DNA.

I think there is no such thing as perfection. The people that seem perfect on the outside always seem to have some type of inner struggle. They can have looks, brains and physical perfection, but that doesn't mean their emotions are stable. I think a person's mindset determines that.

That's easy, several factors are at work, chief among them is the genetic answer via evolution, but there's also Murphy's Law and the dreaded 2nd Law of Thermodynamics at play. In short, life is a constant battle against entropy. The 'bright and intelligent' folks have the rationality to defeat or at least hold off entropy, at least in the short term, but eventually all succumb to its irresistable force.

It.s impact on everyday life. Dont believe in luck but I do believe in timing. Fate....that's a hard one. I believe fate is only determined by the decisions we make.
