You know what europeans could do is to call american football 'soccer' then everyone would have soccer and football, but you would have to know who you were talking to in order to know what sport you were talking about.

American rugby.. good name i like it although an American football player really wouldnt go near rugby, I`ve actually seen a visiting American football team desert when faced with a rugby match against Welsh Guardsmen (British Army),flat refusal with the comment " youse guys are f***ing crazy" and that was from a 22 stone Brooklyn police Sgt !!.

They should try a bit harder to come up with an original name for it, likewise for their language instead of calling it "English" then demanding "English" subtitles for films like "The Full Monty" and "Brassed Off" which are obviously in PROPER English.
