okay but telling me its for the city isn't enough because what about the "Angels" when they were called the California Angels They had an "A" on their caps ( i know they're not called the Califoria Angels anymore..)

Generally the letter on a baseball uniform stands for the city the team calls home. Thus, the C on the Cubs' uniforms stands for Chicago.

It is for the Cubs not Chicago. And actually there are a few things that CUBS stands for. Compeletly Useless By Spring or September (those are interchangeable) Can't Understand Baseball Strategy and Cant Usually Beat Sox. There is one more but i dont want to get reported for abuse.

it is chicago because the bear is inside the c, chicago cubs! A bear cub is inside the c for chicago. California angels, A with a halo over it ment that it was an angel, so c- chicago!

no longer one hundred% particular yet good judgment shows it may be Chicago with the aid of fact they have the C form with the cub undergo popping out of it so the cub section is glaring. no longer something I ought to back up my concept even yet it truly is clever.

Neither. It stands for can't, as in: The Cubs "can't" win a World Series.
