I think that Argentian are fully capable of winning it this year and will definitely reach the final. They will cruise past Germany today, and smash either Ukraine or Italy in the semi final. However, I dont think that they would beat Brazil if they both reached the final.
Brazil might not make it however, although I think they have too much in their tank for France or Portugal. However, if England get past Portugal tomorrow, they will win the World Cup 2006, come Brazil, France, Argentina or anybody.

Hi I would have said Argentina until a couple of hours ago... but now we got eliminated by the Germans... shame... we did all we could and we had it until the 82th minute... then all turned around... what about that penalty against Maxi Rodriguez where the referee actually gave HIM a yellow card?!?!
And the Germans say it was not unfair refereeing...
they won just by a hair... I do not know who will win, but I surely wish it is not Germany!

I think Brazil... I do not follow soccer much except at World Cup time... My Aussies did well but the Brazil team Just plays at a whole new level I think.... My Money is on them.
As Much as I loved my Aussies... there was a few teams I don't think they could beat and Brazil was Number 1 of them.

I think It's going to be Brazil, Because they have won Every world cup for the last 7 years. Also you can tell by looking at their games that they just flow very easily out their.

ARGENTINA, no doubt. They really play as a team, without selfishness. They have amazingly skillful players, even on the bench. The members of the team are very close. Pekerman is an excellent coach. And most importantly, they are ready to leave their heart on the field.

till now argentina is the only one who deserves to win. Italy is in the process of screwing up now and brazil are taking things for granted. Germany isn't showing the level we're used to but the organizers are being so easy with them cz they're playing local!!
