why are people so negative toward people w/ tattoos?

also, do you have a tattoo yourself?

i myself have 1 tattoo on my foot. i also have my nose and tongue pierced, and quite a few ear piercings.

I have15 piercings and 4 tattoos and plan to get more ink done. I believe that people are so negative because people don't understand the representation and meaning of getting a tattoo. They don't understand the spiritual feeling and meaning that comes with getting a tattoo and they are afraid of what they don't understand. The same goes for piercings and other forms of body mods. I think tattoo's are a form of self expression and artwork and it is a way to show poeple who you are. I also believe that when a person gets a tattoo they are beautifying the body futher. I also believe that women with tattoos are very attractive.

I think alot of older people feel tattoos do not look right on woman, or numerous tattoos on men for that matter, it's just part of their generation I suppose. Also I think some people are just close close minded to others freedom of expression. I have seen people I thought went overboard with tattoos, but that is their body and their choice, it's way of expressing themselves and not my place to judge them. I do have a tattoo, a rather large lotus flower above my ankle, and I love it. I would actually like to get another.

No, I do not have a tattoo. It really depends on the person and the tattoos. I personally think tattoos are trashy. In my experience people with certain types of tattoos lead lifestyles that are not productive in the least, and are usually involved with narcotics. I avoid such people.

Some people think it is a sin. Others see it as something only classless people do. I like tattoos in moderation, but I don't have one myself. Sounds painful. I guess I'm a big chicken!

well lots of people believe you're body is a temple. Heavenly father gave it to you, it's a gift and you should not ruin it. You should take care of it, keep it healthy and clean. although you shouldn't be negative to anyone, some people still are negative to others, if you don't like it, then don't get tattoos. and no, i don't have one.

I think people who are non-conformist are criticized constantly, regardless of reason. If it wasn't that, it would be something else. Some people just look for reasons to hate someone else.

I do not have a tattoo, but I would if I wanted to. People are so judgemental because it makes them feel superior. Don't worry about what they think!!! I always say if they are not paying my rent then their opinions don't really matter, now, do they???
