I have tried listing in the past on ebay: Jarts, among other items that ebay has kicked off for safety reasons, but they still allow others selling the exact same items to continue to list and sell them. When I email ebay about this, I just receive an email saying they are dangerous and against ebay policy to allow selling them. Why does this apply to only me? It really sounds predjadous. Ebay doesn't have any live people to contact about this. I've even worded my ads just like the others that don't get ejected.

Power Sellers bring in money for them (moreso than other sellers). Plus, they have access to a direct line at Ebay where they can talk to a live person to get problems resolved. Thus, their "squeaky wheel" is much louder. Besides, Ebay does not care about too much of anything except money. Look up their child pornography sometime. They turn a blind eye to quite a bit.

I understand your frustration, but as an eBay Powerseller, I can tell you we have to play by the same rules as any seller. In fact, if we violate a rule, we are subject to not only having the item removed, but losing our Powerseller status.

There must be a logical explanation. I searched "jarts" on eBay and found

POSY PITCH SAFE FAMILY LAWN GAME LIKE JARTS DARTS

(These are not darts at all, just plastic flowers that you throw.)

and

LAWN DARTS JARTS The safe legal lawn game

(These have soft plastic rounded bottoms, not metal at all.)

So, it would appear that real Jarts are NOT being sold at all.

I know for a fact that some sellers get around these restrictions by writing a disclaimer statement into their auction. So, it may be your Jarts fall into one of the "restricted" areas, not necessarily prohibited, if your wording is handled properly.

I don't know where you found these other auctions, because I couldn't find them!

Ebay is very word sensitive in listings. Keep the word jart out of your title, call it vintage lawn game or antique lawn game. You are exactly right some get away with selling taboo items on Ebay while others get jerked around. Rules are not applied uniformily. For example I had customer with bad connect info leave a total lie of a feedback - Ebay refused to remove it. But in their policy they say they will. We've been selling on Ebay for 4yrs and find their shoppers have far to much control, whine about nothing & your own customers will report you to Ebay. Competition can be fierce, other sellers will report you. During the summer is the worst time to sell on Ebay. The old 70's Jarts game is actually banned for shipping into some states. You really need to research and study how to sell on Ebay before you get into the game. Ebay only wants sellers that are producing sales with perfect feedback. One negative feedback can roust lots of problems. For example we had been selling a brand of martial arts uniforms for 4 yrs without any problems on Ebay. One buyer who was actually a competitor seller on Ebay reported to Ebay we were selling used clothes which was a lie. We had to provide our purchase receipts and go through verification all over this buyer's fake complaint. Best selling on Ebay what no one else has & only rarer goods. We chucked Ebay this year and are totally happy with our new online store. Making far more money & its way less hassle.

eBay uses filters to screen the listings on their site automatically and it doesn't catch all the items that are against thier policy everytime, if a person reports the other person selling the item, they will kick it off aswell

Some people slip through the cracks. It is unfortunate but those items are dangerous and those sellers should be reported.

it is a dangerous item. Maybe those power users are licenced and required to check for age of buyers, much like gunshops are. maybe they do not sell them to specific markets where they are banned.
