You can't be serious. Perhaps you meant the difference between
a penis and a clitoris. That would actually make a bit of sense
as the clitoris is what would have become a penis had the person developed into a male. We are all female in the womb at first.

The penis is the male organ and can be pleasured in many ways. It is external to the body and a limp organ until the person becomes excited, then it fills chambers inside with blood with engorges it (making it "hard"). Usually it is manipulated in one way or another to give pleasure to the male who owns it. Either by penetration in something, or simple handling, toys, etc.
The vagina is the female organ and can be pleasured in many ways. It is internal to the body and can be pierced by a male's erect organ or by many other things -- tounges, toys, etc.
For specifically reproductive sex, the two go together, or can -- there are alternatives now. Regardless, for recreational sex -- which most sex is -- either one can go anywhere.
