That'd be the same as saying, girls are all an emotional basket-case. We both know that neither of these statements can apply to every member of a sex/gender...
but to answer your question, Guys just don't value the same parts of a relationship as much as girls. Males and females are just wired differently and that equals a guy's innattention to some aspects causing a girl to think the guy insensitive. A guy isn't purposefully trying to be "insensitive", and probably isn't aware that he's being that way.
It would be stereo-typical to label all guys as being insensitive to women's needs...maybe you just haven't found the winner yet...

The real answer is we are both male and female. I am not talking about being gay or any thing like that. The fact is we all have male and female components that make up who we are. Men are afraid of the female side, because we are afraid we might be or come gay if they express what we call female traits. I am not gay, but I have been told that I am in touch with my female side. I have a well balanced personality.
Read "Young" if you are interested. By the way I tell my wife I love her every day befor I leave for work. I kiss her ever night when I get home. I hug her as often as I can. I love her dearly.

For the simple fact that men and women are different. You can't really expect a guy to be as sensitive as women. They just aren't wired that way. More than not they don't realize they are being insensitive.

We have needs to. We need to get laid, and may not have time to romance you. Life as a man can be hard, so support us in our needs. The only sensitive men, are gay. Or they may be desperate. I am going to let you in on an ancient secret, tell no one that you heard this from me. A man will become sensitive as a last resort. It is a basic instinct, ever since the time of the cave men we have had this survival technique. We know women like sensitive, so if there is no other way to get laid, we resort to becoming aware of a woman's needs. If your man does become sensitive to your needs, you are being played.

Why are women so needy is the real question. Maybe women are the ones insensitive to the guys need to be left alone.
I can't relate. I am pretty much in tune with what my girls want or need, but it doesn't always mean I am going to give it to them.

Why are women so hypersensitive to a guy just being a guy? More often than not, motives and "insensitivity" are presumed (and then responded to) by women when no ill intent was ever meant.
Takes two, if you know what I mean.

that's probably a good guess. they just don't get it. some who have a few sisters do, but most never will. the best thing to do is to constantly point out that those things that they say and do hurt you and if you are associating with them just stop hanging around with them....there are many many nice guys who are just to shy to speak up. the jerks are always out front getting fighting for attention....look in the back or off to the side, there you will find the gems;)

Boys are insensitive to a lady;s needs. Men who were brought up proper know a lady,s need and how to treat them right.

Maybe it's because you women don't really say what's on your mind and expect guys to be mind readers.
If you're upset because you think you look fat today, don't tell us that you're upset about something we said that we don't remember saying.
You women are crazy damn creatures and we seem insensitive because we ara afraid of your reations to EVERYTHING!

It is all about communication. If you don't tell him what you want, he isn't going to automatically know what you want. The key is to suggest things, let him think it was HIS idea to take you out or buy you a present. If you reward him for his "thoughtfulness" he will keep doing it.
